Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific Support Unit
The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) finances quality, climate resilient infrastructure projects in the Pacific and Timor-Leste. The AIFFP is managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with support from Tetra Tech (the Support Unit). The AIFFP Support Unit provides advice and services to support the delivery of the AIFFP and its objectives.
Key responsibilities
Tetra Tech International Development is seeking a dynamic and experienced PMO Director to lead a high-impact portfolio of energy infrastructure projects in Papua New Guinea.
- Establish and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring the delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects.
- Oversee project planning, procurement, construction, and financial management with a focus on quality, compliance, and sustainability.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with PNG Power Ltd (PPL), AIFFP, and other key stakeholders.
- Deliver results through strategic governance, transparent reporting, and performance-driven leadership.
- Lead and develop a diverse, multidisciplinary team committed to long-term energy solutions.
Selection criteria
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of energy infrastructure projects and experience with multilateral development bank-funded initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Extensive experience leading large scale infrastructure projects
- Experience working in Papua New Guinea or similar environments
- Skilled at navigating complex stakeholder environments, resolving challenges and fostering partnerships
