Photo and Video Editor, Communications and Development Support
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma/certificate in photo and video production with minimum five years of experience in video production required. Bachelor’s degree in film, video production, or related field with minimum three years of experience in video production is preferred.
- Experience working on Somali content or within the Somali media industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with non-governmental organizations, donors, and/or agency or mass media is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Somali culture, language, and storytelling techniques is required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism while managing multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to deadlines is required.
- Ability to adapt content to resonate with Somali audiences, considering cultural references and societal norms is required.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is required.
- Strong written and verbal fluency in English and Somali is required.
