Operations Manager
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Licensed Engineer or Architect in Puerto Rico
- At least three (3) years of experience in project management
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
The candidate will ideally have experience:
The resource assigned to the Operations Manager position will be responsible for the daily field operations and ensuring that such daily operations are performed in the most efficient manner. He will oversee logistics management, ensuring that procedures are in place to align with the program’s goals and objectives. He will oversee standards of performance, safety policies, and procedures, and adjust internal policies as necessary. He will direct human resources and management activities at the operational side of the programs and may determine the staff needed to accomplish the operational tasks.
- Housing construction and/or CDBG-DR programs
- Logistics management
- Overseeing and writing performance standards and safety policies and procedures
- Assessing and monitoring staff capacity
The preferred candidate will have:
- Extraordinary attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and customer focus
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines
- Ability to identify problems and develop solutions, working well in a team environment
- Ability to follow established procedures
- Ability to work attentively with minimal supervision and set priorities
- Workdays in excess of 8 hours and/or weekend attendance may be required
- Intuition and forward-thinking is a plus while working to accomplish goals
- Must be motivated and results-oriented
- Professional self-presentation and communication
