Objective Lead/Economist, Oil and Gas (downstream) - Jordan
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, policy, legal, finance, economics, or other related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience supporting or leading energy sector projects with demonstrable experience in the use of natural gas.
- Good understanding of tariff setting principles and market reforms.
- Well versed with legal and regulatory structures pertaining to the supply of natural gas.
- Experience in project design, work planning and reporting on USAID or other donor-funded energy sector projects.
- Proven record of successfully working with Jordanian public and private sector stakeholders.
- Previous supervisory experience on a multidisciplinary team of five or more technical experts.
- Proven ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to build effective relationships with peers, supervisors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the political, social and cultural context of working in Jordan.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (reading, writing and presentation skills) is required.
