Objective 3 Lead, Advancing Digital Democracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, science technology, international relations, political science, economics or a related interdisciplinary field with minimum of eight (8) years of experience supporting development activities (USAID-funded activities preferred). Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience managing dynamic, flexible teams, preferably on global projects.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships across technical sectors including technology, cybersecurity and digitalization, in both the public and private sectors, to improve democratic practices worldwide.
- Experience engaging and collaborating with digital technology related civil society organizations, professional associations, independent oversight bodies, activists, and/or the private sector. Experience working in a civil society organization focusing on advancing digital transparency, accountability or security strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the work of global and regional technology and democracy multi-stakeholder networks and coalitions preferred.
- Experience engaging and working with government actors and the private sector.
- Prior experience facilitating learning sessions or information exchange sessions.
- Deep understanding of pertinent developments and issues across democracy and human rights related frameworks, laws and policies. Experience focused on intersection amongst digital technology and knowledge of government regulatory frameworks preferred.
