Network Engineer - Top Secret - Springfield, VA

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• Experience with VoIP design and implementation.
• Certifications Required:
• CCNP (routing switching/security)
• Requires 6-8 years of progressively complex IT experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and enterprise-level incident response. 

• Must be able to obtain and perform elevated Enterprise-level system administrative access in a competent and reliable manner, and must have intermediate (Tier 3) proficiency with:
• CISCO switching and routing products with the ability to configure, maintain, troubleshoot, design and produce quotes against design specs
• Active Directory/Exchange 2003/2010 - OU administration using AD console, computers, users, security groups, group policy creation and management, shared boxes, etc.
• WINS/DNS/TCP/IP and dynamic protocols
• Deploy DHCP technology for a large network environment, implement subnetting, imp relay/Helper, and ability to troubleshoot DHCP scope from client to servers
• Hands-on HP blade/chassis and standalone server installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in patch management using SCCM, must have in-depth knowledge building MSI packages ready for deployment.
• Hands on managing Windows 2008 Print server technology, ability to troubleshoot and automate printer provisioning to end users. In depth managing large print server environment, ability to use scripts to manage and provision printers
• Imaging of servers, workstations and laptops using an approved standard image
• OS provisioning, package development
• MS WIN 2003-2008 - configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
• MS Windows 7/WIN7 - configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
• MS Office 2007-2010, Project, Visio
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VOIP and/or Radio technology that operates over IP as well as modem products and technology
• Enterprise storage, backups and data management, and other SAN technology
• Management of multiple, large, complex IT projects involving multiple sites and large groups of end users
