NDY Senior Fire Protection Engineer
The Position
NDY is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer who brings technical expertise to balance commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management, and project leadership. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, exceptional time management, and clear communication skills with all project team members.

- Execute fire protection design, documentation, and contract administration.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
- Conduct quality control and reviews of documentation.
- Manage client relationships, securing and overseeing projects.
- Perform design tasks in compliance with relevant codes, NCC, and company standards/briefs.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal processes, including design and calculation tools.
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection services design for buildings in Australia.
- Experience with fire protection design software tools such as H2X.
- Proficient in general design tools such as Bluebeam and MS Office.
- Skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks are strongly desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Strong understanding of design documentation workflows.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to deadlines, attention to detail, and a professional work ethic.
- Diverse experience in a range of project types.
- Experience in healthcare is advantageous.
