Tetra Tech, an industry leader and nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a motivated, intelligent, and experienced full-time Environmental Technician at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The work will include Hazardous Material (HM) support and other duties as described below.



Duties will include, but are not limited to, EESOH-MIS support and training; HM data management, metric reporting, and technical support; product research, evaluation and substitution recommendations; development of compliance and pollution prevention education and training materials; HM identification/inventory; EPCRA report preparation; and overall HM Management Program (HMMP) support, documentation, and reporting; and other Civil Engineering/HMMP Team Lead responsibilities. 


Candidate will also be required to provide support of environmental sampling and analysis; Environmental Management System (EMS) reviews, updates, and recordkeeping; and solid waste minimization activities. 




  • Knowledge of the United States Air Force and other DoD organizations.
  • Computer skills and working knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems and Office software packages or equivalent.
  • Experience with HM Management, EPCRA Reporting, and EESOH-MIS implementation and management.
  • Familiar with AFI 32-7086, AFMAN 32-7002, and other relavent DoD/AF environmental policies and guidance documents.
  • Sampling, field work, using measuring instruments, data analyses and reporting.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Some local travel may be required; must have reliable transportation. Knowledge of U.S. Air Force safety, health, security, and environmental policies and procedures a plus. Current military identification or Common Access Card holder preferred.
