We are seeking an innovative and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our renowned design team. We offer a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.
About this opportunity:
As a Mechanical Engineer at Cosentini, you will have the opportunity to apply your design expertise on exciting and challenging HVAC projects. Your role:
• Performing complex mechanical building design on a variety of projects to include, but not limited to, buildings and facilities, including hospitals, laboratories, high rise residential and high rise office, and other commercial and institutional projects.
• Incorporating design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
• Assist teams in performing design load calculations, equipment selections and mechanical system design
• Providing credit documentation for LEED, and other building rating system design and compliance
• Assisting in the preparation of basis-of-design descriptions, responses to client comments and other project-related documentation.
• Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers.
• Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
• Performing other duties as assigned

What kind of candidate are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for commercial, institutional and healthcare facilities.
Qualifications:
• Proficient with the use of Trace 700, AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
• PE registration is highly preferred in New York, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E. in 1-2 years.
• LEED AP BD+C accreditation is preferred
Pay: $85,000 - 170,000 annually, commensurate on experience and skills.
