Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment

You Have:
- At least 10 years of experience
- Pressure vessel design and Fitness for Service (FFS) experience is a must
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered, or eligible to be registered, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA
- In depth knowledge of ASME Sec VIII Div 1 and 2, API 510, API 571, API 579, and CSA B51 is a must
- Strong working knowledge of industry Codes and Standards for piping design and fabrication including ASME B31.3 and CSA B51 Is considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of the pressure vessel design software such as PV Elite, CodeCalc, Compress, and Inspect
- Working knowledge of FEA analysis software such as ANSYS, Simulation Mechanical, Inventor, SolidWorks, Nozzle-Pro and FE-Pipe will be an asset
- Experience with preparation of pressure vessel datasheets, MRs, TBEs, and vendor DWG reviews
- Experience with shop inspection of pressure vessel is an asset
- Experience with CRN registration of pressure vessels, fittings, and piping is an asset
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis of failed equipment and piping is an asset
- Experience coaching and mentoring EITs.
- Understanding of stress
analysis using Caesar II and/or similar packages is
considered an asset - Experience in the practical aspects of equipment and piping system design, installation and start-up Is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills for both client and internal team interfaces
- Excellent oral and written skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Travel within Western Canada periodically to client sites may be required
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screen
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
