Cosentini Associates (www.cosentini.com), a Tetra Tech company, invites you to consider an exciting opportunity at our New York office.  We are seeking an innovative and experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our renowned design team. We offer a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.

About this opportunity:
As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer at Cosentini, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise on exciting and challenging commissioning projects. You will have the chance to work alongside some of the top engineers in the field, gaining additional expertise and building your reputation and career. You will commission a variety of projects including new construction, core and shell, commercial interiors and retro-commissioning of office buildings, hospitals, schools, etc. You will be managing multiple projects with competing deadlines. You will have the opportunity to test and troubleshoot systems and equipment using our suite of calibrated testing equipment. Responsibilities also include assisting design teams with construction administration items. You will have business development responsibilities for increasing our commissioning presence in the tri-state area.

What kind of candidate are we looking for? 

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering 
• 5+ years of experience primarily in data centers, office buildings, retro commissioning, and proposal writing.
• Hands-on equipment experience
• Experience in commissioning chiller plants and air handling systems is required
• Commissioning accreditation (BCA, EBCP, CEM, NEBB, ASHRAE, AEE, AABC, U of Wisconsin, etc.) is a plus
• Experience as the commissioning team leader for MEP/FP building systems and project management experience preferred
• ASHRAE Energy Audit experience is a plus
• Cosentini provides commissioning services throughout the world and willingness to travel is essential
• Excellent technical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and business acumen.

Pay: $75,000 - 115,000 annually, commensurate on experience and skills.
