Education and Experience:
High School Diploma is preferred. Two to five years’ experience with construction and heavy equipment operation. Experienced in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor interior repair. Noxious weed control and pest control experience a plus. Must be able to work independently or as a team member on work orders. Must be able to pass background check to enter secure area. Must be able to wear a respirator.

Candidate should possess direct experience in similar position and be located in the Pueblo, CO area. In addition, candidate must have excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to work unsupervised and with a variety of people.

Other Skills and Requirements:
In keeping with our commitment to safety, Tetra Tech requires the candidate to possess and maintain a clear driving record in accordance with Tetra Tech’s Vehicle Safety Policy. A valid Colorado Driver’s license is required and a Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) is preferred.

Candidate may be required to work in construction zones, outside or in heavy equipment for extended periods of time. Candidate may be required to report to the job site for snow removal or other DPW emergencies at times outside of their normal work schedule. Lifting and operation of heavy equipment is required. Work is performed in tiring positions, such as kneeling, standing, bending, crouching, and stooping, and includes lifting, pulling or pushing of parts (normally 50 lbs. or less). Lifts and moves heavier items with the assistance of other workers and with lifting devices, such as, jacks, hoists and cranes. Good eyesight and hearing are needed to detect deficiencies.

Must have excellent communication skills. Must be fluent in the English language; both speaking and writing with the ability to speak, understand and write the English language fluently to engage with co-workers. Basic computer skills, including email (Microsoft Outlook) and ability to complete online timesheet required.

Must have, at minimum, basic to advanced construction skills. Should possess safety mindset.
