Logistics Advisor - Liberia
Required Qualifications:
*
U.S. Citizen or Third Country National;
*
Ability to possess/maintain MRPT certification;
*
A Bachelor Degree in logistics, business, accounting, or related field from an
accredited college or university;
*
Minimum two years of experience in a developing country environment;
*
Possess demonstrated knowledge of the principles and methodologies of
logistical support, and associated standardized business processes including
project assessment and evaluation;
*
Possess the ability to assist, motivate, and train counterparts in the
development of standardized policies and pro-grams within the Liberian National
Police Force;
*
Expert knowledge of FAR/DFAR clauses for movement of US Government cargo to
include compliance with the US Cargo Preference;
*
Experience with import and export of goods to and from the United States;
*
Supervisory experience including coaching, training and motivating a team;
*
Proven ability to analyze complex transportation issues, prioritize workload,
train all level of personnel, manage multiple teams, monitor performance and
create effective reports on related activities;
*
Ability to build and maintain key relationships in a culturally diverse
environment and negotiate the resolution of conflicting views to enable project
implementation;
*
Must be able to communicate in English with accuracy and fluency in order to
participate fully and effectively in conversations on a variety of topics in
formal and informal settings from both concrete and abstract perspectives;
*
Must be able to discuss their interests and special fields of competence,
explain complex matters in detail, and provide lengthy and coherent narrations,
all with ease, fluency, and accuracy. If a verification of English competency
is requested by INL, candidates must receive a superior level rating from the
American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL);
*
A working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products,
including Word, Excel, and Power-Point;
*
In possession of a current and valid driving license for at least one year;
*
Must satisfy the requirements for Specialist Advisor III.
Desired Qualifications:
*
Master’s degree in logistics or a related field;
* Knowledge
of U.S. contracting practices and experience in contract oversight;
*
Experience working or coordinating with U.S. agencies;
*
Experience working in Liberia with Government of Liberia agencies.
