Lead Maintenance Technician/Pueblo Chemical Depot/DH
Qualifications:
High School Diploma is preferred. Two to five years’ experience with construction and heavy equipment operation. Experienced in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor interior repair. Noxious weed control and pest control experience a plus. Must be able to work independently or as a team member on work orders. Must be able to pass background check to enter secure area. Must be able to wear a respirator. A valid Colorado Driver’s license is required and a Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including email (Microsoft Outlook) and ability to complete online timesheet required.
Candidate should possess direct experience in similar position and be located in the Pueblo, CO area. In addition, candidate must have excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, strong work ethic, demonstrated leadership qualities, and the ability to work unsupervised and with a variety of people.
The physical demands of this position are that of a typical construction position. Lifting and operation of heavy equipment is required. Work is performed in tiring positions, such as kneeling, standing, bending, crouching, and stooping, and includes lifting, pulling or pushing of parts (normally 50 lbs. or less). Lifts and moving of heavier items with the assistance of other workers and with lifting devices, such as, jacks, hoists and cranes.
Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in the English language; both speaking and writing.
Must have, at minimum, basic to advanced construction skills. Should possess safety mindset.
