  • Prepare power system studies such as Load Flow, Short Circuit, Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash analysis, with experience using ETAP or similar software considered an asset.
  • Work on greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring integration with existing electrical systems.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, including utilities and nuclear facility operators.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and turnover phases of projects.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical specifications for electrical equipment.

  • Design AC and DC schematics for different applications.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and controls engineers.
  • Support project documentation, reports, and design review meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensing: P.Eng. in Ontario (or working towards P.Eng.).
  • Experience: 4-8 years of experience in electrical engineering within heavy industrial or power generation sectors.
  • Power System Analysis: Experience in power system modeling, protection coordination, and arc flash studies is a plus.
  • Nuclear Sector: Experience in nuclear power plants (e.g., OPG, Bruce Power, CANDU reactors) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Software Proficiency: ETAP is an asset.
  • Codes & Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), CSA, IEEE, and utility standards.
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain OPG Security Clearance/Nuclear Reliability Status (can be obtained after hiring).
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and regulatory interactions.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office per week.
