Instructional Design Architect
Essential KSA’s required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience working as an instructional designer with multimedia development experience utilizing web-based course authoring software.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Instructional Design, English, Educational Technology).
• Able to travel up to 25% to periodically analyze learning needs, critique training sessions, and look for ways to improve
• Demonstrated knowledge of key instructional design concepts, practices, and learning principles.
• Skilled in developing instructor-led, web-based, and blended learning solutions.
• Experience developing course content in a variety of formats.
• Knowledge/experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to consult with Management and lead Subject Matter Experts.
• Ability to work independently with little oversight once the work is assigned.
• Proactive interpersonal interviewing, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Celebrates feedback and collaboration as part of daily work interactions
• Detail and deadline oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
• Lesson and curriculum planning skills
• Basic HTML, HTML5, and Flash programming knowledge
• Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation is a must
Valued but not required KSA’s:
• Instructional Designer or Course Developer Certification from ATD
• Project Management (PMP) Certification
