Humanitarian Climate Risk and Vulnerability Specialist for Climate Adaptation Support Activity – US based Remote
Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in international development, climate change policy, climate science, environmental studies, or similar field.
* At least 7 years’ experience developing climate risk and vulnerability assessments, ideally in the context of international development programming or policy.
* At least 3 years’ experience providing technical support to complex USAID-funded programs and familiarity with USAID policies.
* Experience leading remote teams and working in a client-facing context.
* Experience working in cross-cultural and highly collaborative team environments.
* Professional proficiency in English is required.
* Ability to travel internationally.
* Current US work authorization is required at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience developing climate adaptation policy and programming in the international development context.
* A history of collaboration and fostering inclusive, equitable, locally led climate change adaptation activities.
* Experience with international humanitarian and/or disaster management donors and agencies.
* Understanding of the intersection of climate adaptation, humanitarian action, and disaster risk management.
* Proficiency in Spanish or French.

Pay Transparency Statement:
We are committed to taking a thoughtful, compliant, and equitable approach to employment compensation. The anticipated pay range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 annually.
