HMA Mechanical Mine Clearance (MMC) Instructors
Qualifications:
Formal training certificate from a manufacturer of:
• Mechanical Mine Clearance machinery (essential).
• Commercial Of The Shelf (COTS) Plant machinery (desirable).
• Valid driver’s license (essential).
• Military or Civilian formal training qualification and certificate (essential).
• Plant Operator Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Heavy Goods Vehicle, Mechanic or similar (desirable).
• Minimum of IMAS EOD level 3 or equivalent qualification from a military on internationally recognized civilian training establishment and certificate (essential).
Experience:
Provable experience of operating tillers, flails and plant machinery in a Humanitarian Mine Action program.
International experience of living and working overseas from your normal place of residence and having the motivation to work in arduous conditions.
Must have previously held a position as an EOD instructor and show evidence that you have taught courses.
Should have proven, practical hands-on field and training experience and a thorough understanding of the following IMAS disciplines:
• Mechanical survey and clearance (essential).
• Technical Survey (essential).
• Battle Area Clearance (essential).
• Manual Mine Clearance (essential).
• Explosive Ordnance Disposal (essential).
• Mechanical survey and clearance (essential).
• Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (desirable).
Skills:
• Fluent in English (essential) and Ukrainian (desirable).
• Must be able to stand in front of a class and teach.
• The ability to work with an interpreter and clearly relay the subject matter to Ukrainian speaking students.
• Resourcefulness and keep calm when things don’t go according to plan.
• An understanding of Ukraine and it’s culture.

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and project/contract dependent.
