We are looking for a full-time Geotechnical Engineer for our Langhorne, PA location.


Your Role:

  • Support an engineering team conducting geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering evaluations and designs for a range of complex projects in the in the areas of alternative and renewable energy facilities (wind, solar, biofuels, etc.), coastal and marine facilities, industrial facilities, dams, solid waste, environmental remediation, and military facilities throughout the United States and internationally.
  • Project requirements and associated tasks vary widely, and the engineer is required to multitask, and manage workload to accommodate those requirements.  
  • Duties may include the collection and documentation of field data including geotechnical samples; driller oversight; measurements, and the operation of instruments in a safe manner that ensures the quality and integrity of the data to support engineering evaluations that may be used for regulatory decisions, legal disputes, and PE sealed designs.
  • Application of geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Performs advanced analysis and forensic analyses of slopes and retaining structures related to environmental remediation.
  • Completion of detailed analytical calculations and the interpreting conditions in complex situations with special constraints related to contamination issues including:
    • Geotechnical, geological.
    • Civil engineering and structural behavior.
    • Slope stability, marine and tidal conditions analysis, cantilever and anchored wall analyses, and manual calculations in Mathcad.
    • Various protocols including USEPA, USDOD, state and local requirements.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 9 months of experience in the job offered or 9 months of experience in the Related Occupation. 

Related Occupation:

Engineering Technician/Assistant Civil Engineer performing the following job duties:


  • Assisting senior staff in general and specific civil engineering related work activities.
  • Participating in field investigations and site walk downs.
  • Performing and assisting in simple civil engineering calculations.
  • Preparing calculation packages as required.
  • Assisting senior staff in the development of Design Criteria and the determination of Design Classification Level.
  • Participating in the analysis and design of civil engineering portions of projects.
  • Assisting in the development and preparation of specifications, inquiries, bid and purchasing activities.
  • Remaining current with respect to code, standards and procedures applicable to civil engineering.
  • Assisting senior staff in the preparation of technical correspondence.
  • Assisting in the implementation of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety programs.
