Geomatics Surveyor (PSM) - Florida
Requirements:
- Licensed Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) required
- AAS or BS degree in Surveying or Geomatics preferred
- 4 + years of experience conventional surveying preferred
- 2+ years of field operations management and project scheduling
- Knowledge of FDOT Surveying and Mapping Procedures
- Experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil3D with FDOT Standards
- Experience in survey control, topographic, and right-of-way mapping
- Demonstrated expertise in project/phase management for large-scale public-sector survey projects is preferred
- Promote an organized, timely, and safe work environment
- Ability to create, edit, and work with surfaces from topographic survey points.
- Strong knowledge of InRoads and Civil3D surfaces, points, corridors, profile and section views.
- Able and willing to travel for assignments, including multi-day field work assignments.
- Experience with Riegl mobile mapping systems a plus.
- Experience with airborne topobathymetry data a plus.
- Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, must be able to work well collaboratively or independently.
- Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
- Self-starter, and able to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass the company DMV check to be a Tetra Tech-qualified driver of corporate/rental vehicles.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test in compliance with state regulations.
