Your Role:

Entry-Level, full time, Geologist/Environmental Scientist: performs under supervision, work that is varied in nature, and technically complex, and at times physically challenging. Attention to detail and ingenuity is required. Work will include general geological or hydrogeological assignments, environmental due diligence studies, and site remediation efforts that require field assignments, and preparation of technical documents. Work tasks associated with environmental projects are performed in accordance with RCRA, CERCLA, UST, and other appropriate state and federal regulations.

  • Review, comprehension, and completion of work scopes.
  • Communicate on site conditions with senior staff and make field determinations based on site data.
  • Interpret basic geologic information, prepare boring logs, cross sections, and groundwater flow maps.
  • Perform project tasks on public and private sector environmental projects.
  • Significant involvement as team member on field tasks including multi-media sampling, well installation, landfill-gas sampling, IDW management, etc.
  • Assist in preparation of subcontract documents, work plans and reports under direction of senior engineers and scientists.
  • Assist in data evaluation and report preparation.
  • Ability to travel to job sites in the Southeast, occasionally to regularly for multiple days.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in geology or environmental science.
  • Entry level up to five years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS office suite of programs.
  • Must be able to work effectively with other technical professionals.
