Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist – Portland, ME
Minimum Requirements:
- A BS or BA degree or higher in Environmental Science, GIS/Geography, Biology, Natural Resources, Marine Science, Computer Science, or related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience working with ESRI’s ArcGIS ArcPro software
- Proficiency with ESRI’s field data collection applications such as Field Maps and Survey123
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, cartographic map creation, ESRI ArcGIS Software
- Experience managing geospatial information in Spatial Database Engine (SDE)
- Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute complex instructions
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Desired but not Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Server, Python, ArcGIS Model Builder, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst extensions.
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, and ESRI Applications – Web Appbuilder, StoryMap Builder, Experience Builder
- Experience managing information/data in relational database systems such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server a plus.
- Working knowledge of Apple IOS and Android Operating Systems.
- Working knowledge of critical issues as they pertain to renewable energy and transmission projects.
