Geo Environmental Consultants/Engineering Geologists
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
You will have all, or most of, the following:
- A first degree or Masters degree in geology or engineering geology.
- Practical experience of managing and supervising ground investigations and laboratory scheduling.
- Experience of geotechnical and geo-environmental assessment and reporting.
- Experience of mining assessments and investigations.
- Some knowledge of geotechnical design including foundation types and ground improvement options.
- Some experience in writing earthworks specifications and in the supervision of earthworks.
- Some experience of writing remediation strategies.
- A willingness to travel on occasion for ground investigation works or remediation supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fully IT literate such that you can write clear, concise and technically robust reports.
- A good understanding of health, safety and environmental management for ground investigation and of CDM regulations as applicable to design.
- A full, preferably clean, driving license.
- Strong social, interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
