Geo-Environmental Consultant London
You will hold a degree in geology, engineering geology, hydrogeology or relevant environmental science discipline. Whilst not essential, it would be beneficial for you to have a post graduate qualification such as a Master’s degree. You will have some post graduate industry experience.
An understanding of current contaminated land technical guidance, Part 2A legislation and the development planning regime.
- You must have experience of, and be confident in, undertaking ground investigation on site, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring and supervising small scale/non-complex works. Any specific site works accreditations/qualifications held will be an advantage (e.g. First Aid, Cat&Genny, SSSTS, CSCS etc).
- You will be knowledgeable in current practice and governing standards/guidance for the investigation and assessment of contaminated land and have experience of producing Phase 1 geo-environmental desk top study reports and developing accurate conceptual site models and Phase 2 ground investigation factual reports including.
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skill and be fully IT literate as you will be required to write clear, concise and technically robust reports.
- You must have a good understanding of health, safety and environmental management.
- A full, preferably clean, driving licence.
- You will be a team player with strong social, interpersonal and communication skills.
