Gender Advisor - Thailand
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- A graduate degree in international development, gender studies or related field is required
- 10+ years’ experience in S/SE Asia in designing, implementing and advising gender equality interventions for SMEs, utilities, and government bodies
- Experience in working with USAID and other large international donors
- Experience in coordinating with multilateral donor programs in emerging markets
- Strong oral and written communications skills and ability to motivate and collaborate with others to achieve team goals and communicate with WE4F awardees.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills)
- Experience in holding public meetings and coordinating with local governments, legal experts, developers, special interest groups and the public to formulate and develop plans for vulnerable populations
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Prior working experience in S/SE Asia
Valued but not required KSA’s:
- Experience working on integration gender into the development of technologies or working with business start-ups targeting low-income or Base of the Pyramid customers
- Familiarity with the impact investing industry
- Understanding of enabling environment activities for a conducive private sector-driven ecosystem
