Gas Team Administrative & Legal Assistant- Ukraine

Project Summary:
In Ukraine, Tetra Tech implements the USAID Energy Security Project (ESP), a seven-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the largest USAID project in Ukraine so far. USAID ESP’s mission is to enhance Ukraine’s energy security, improve the energy legal and regulatory environment in the country, and increase the resilience of Ukraine’s energy supply to support the country’s economic development and sustain its democracy. Tetra Tech is working closely with the Government of Ukraine to develop competitive energy markets and facilitate private sector-led energy investments to provide affordable, reliable, resilient, and secure energy for all Ukrainians. Position Summary:
Tetra Tech has an opportunity for a Gas Team Administrative & Legal Assistant who will provide administrative, legal and project management support to the ESP Gas team through monitoring, reporting, coordinating Gas team activities for the implementation of the USAID ESP, drafting and processing related documents. There is an expectation that the person assigned to this position would be able to grow and over time increase their responsibility, supporting more complex and technical activities in line with the ESPs work program. This is a full-time position with the contract duration till the end of the Project’s implementation.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and developing project documentation, such as agreements, contracts and contractual documents, requests for proposals, contract request forms, evaluation forms, other project documentation.
- Supporting the activities of the Gas Team Lawyer and other senior members of the gas team, including the Gas Sector Lead.
- Assist in facilitating the approvals process, including following up with relevant parties for signing project documentation.
- Work with multiple ESP and external teams on facilitating documents delivery, processing, and signing by the authorized representatives, collecting documents originals where necessary.
- Assist with reviewing, printing, scanning, organizing, storing, managing, distributing and tracking of documents related to team activities.
- Assist with maintaining documents adhering to the Project’s documents policy and procedures.
- Take part in legal monitoring for Gas team, coordinate with other teams, complete relevant reporting forms.
- Support the preparation of technical presentations, reports, papers, other deliverables and project-related documents in coordination with team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law
- 1 + years of relevant document processing and basic legal support.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Hands-on approach, good problem-solving skills, general proactive attitude.
- Must be able to produce accurate and complete documents and reports in a timely manner, practice a systematic approach in documents development and processing, in legal monitoring and other performed tasks.
- Proficiency in the MS Suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred but Not Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded projects is a plus.
