Responsibilities:
A skilled technician to assist our engineering, fabrication, and construction team, who fabricates, installs, diagnoses, and repairs environmental treatment systems with clear, concise documentation. You will find yourself working in various settings for different construction and industrial projects. You will set up remediation equipment based on highly technical instructions and blueprints and occasionally move equipment to different locations. Also, you will participate and assist ensuring the safety of workers and the work area. Work directly with the operations supervisor and design staff. Candidates local to the Florida Space Coast will be given priority.
• Building and installing new environmental remediation systems and performing operations and maintenance on existing systems in construction and industrial settings.
• Analyzing performance and products, performing various tests on products, then making suitable recommendations, ensuring products work properly.
• Visit sites to assess potential problems or needs.
• Diagnosing and replacing/repairing broken or defective machine parts.
• Transfer machines to sites, either to install them or repair them.
• Disassemble machine parts when transporting or repairing them and reassemble the parts.
• Documentation of builds and repairs.
• Implementing preventative maintenance methods.
• Collect and store distinct machinery parts and ensuring the required materials are available for production.
• Collaborate with construction workers, tradesmen, and engineers.
• Coordinate with Managers and Supervisors and provide general support to the team.
• Hands-on work assisting and coordinating for all tasks.
• Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Collection of environmental samples.
• Operate heavy equipment, as necessary.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.

• Operate a motor vehicle and have a driving record in good standing in accordance with Tetra Tech policy. (Required)
• Possess a mode of transport (Required)
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade school certificate is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of production is required.
• Experience in manufacturing would be advantageous.
• 5+ years of technical experience working in the Construction or Industrial field or similar. (Required)
• Experience supporting projects in the commercial, municipal, state, and federal markets is preferred.
• Experience working on Department of Defense contracts is preferred.
• Recent, relevant experience working with commercial customers is preferred.
This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

• Trips to project site locations
• Walk over uneven surfaces and potentially up/down steps or hills.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions for up to 8-12 hours per day
• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Use any and all hand tools required for task.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods

• This position will require travel by car or by air; anticipated to be approximately 25%. Some trips will require multiple overnight stays.
• Outdoors in extreme weather conditions for up to 8-12 hours per day
• Indoors in a fabrication shop
• Occasional office work
Language & Communication Skills:
• Must be fully fluent in the English language - (speaking, writing, and comprehension)
Mathematical Skills:
• The candidate must possess mathematical skills to perform calculations and have discussions with Engineers.
Other Skills:
• Must be able to perform daily operations using Microsoft Windows applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is desirable, but not required.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is also desirable, but not required.
