Environmental Scientist Summer Intern – Boise, ID
Requirements:
· High School degree, some college preferred.
· Position will require some familiarity with natural resources and environmental science related activities.
· The ideal candidate will have demonstrated some knowledge of plant taxonomic skills, competent note taking skills and an understanding of the use of GIS/GPS field equipment.
· Potential travel can be expected in the Intermountain West promising exposure to numerous regional vegetative communities and ecosystems.
· The majority of project work consists of natural resource support for energy and mineral resource permitting and management as well as residential and commercial development. There will also be a significant element of on-the-job training.
· A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Skills Requirements:
Ideal candidate will be able to provide assistance and act in a support role to other natural resource team members, can learn quickly and is willing to travel in May through July and on short notice.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 hr.
