Senior Environmental Scientist or Geologist – Golden, CO
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related discipline is required.
- 10-15+ years of experience with regulatory compliance, hazardous materials, sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, air, etc.), environmental consulting, or related activities
- Management and oversight experience required.
- Knowledge of environmental laboratory practices, including quality control requirements.
- Analytical laboratory experience and prior field sampling experience required.
- A valid driver’s license in excellent standing.
- Ability to pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, etc.
- Documentation of 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response. (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher certificate.
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Other Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
- Highly motivated, self-starter that wants to establish a career in environmental consulting.
- English language fluency and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, clients, subcontractors, and the general public.
- Works well in both a team-oriented environment and independently.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Project management experience a plus.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 yr.
