Environmental Scientist (Mid-Level) – Glen Allen, VA

• B.A. or B.S. in an environmental science related field (including, but not limited to, earth science, ecology, botany, forestry, biology, land resources management).
• 3 to 5 years experience in an environmental science related field.
• Wetland delineation training course and 2+ years’ experience conducting wetland delineations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Solid Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and other software tool skills.
• Demonstrated capabilities in understanding and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently and at remote job sites.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and work on multiple tasks at any given time.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Must be located within Virginia.

Preferred Skills and Expertise:

• 4+ years’ experience conducting wetland delineations.
• Wetland certification (or ability to obtain) including PWS, WPIT, or PWD.
• Wetland delineation and permitting experience in Virginia, Mid-Atlantic region, and/or Southeast region.
• Located in Richmond, Virginia.
