Environmental Scientist/Geologist - Golden, CO
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related discipline is required
- 1 to 3 years of experience with hazardous materials, sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, air, etc.), environmental consulting, or related activities is required
- Knowledge of environmental laboratory practices, including quality control requirements
- Analytical laboratory experience or prior field sampling experience preferred
- A valid driver’s license in excellent standing
- Ability to pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, etc.
- Documentation of 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher certificate is preferred
Other Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
- Highly motivated, self-starter that wants to establish a career in environmental consulting
- English language fluency and excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, clients, subcontractors, and the general public
- Works well in both a team-oriented environment and independently
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience. Salary Range: $48,000 - $62,000 Yr.
