Role and Responsibilities:
- Post-disaster remediation;
- Emergency response;
- Superfund removal actions;
- Remedial action sites;
- Orphaned well plugging and assessment;
- Due diligence (Phase 1 and Phase II) assessments, and;
- Lead based paint and asbestos assessments.
The tasks involved within these projects includes:
- Multimedia sampling (including air)
- Oversight of operations, including the preparation of reports and tables, reviewing of data, field audits and inspections, organizing and reviewing data, file reviews, collection of air monitoring data, training and exercise support, contractor oversight, and related services.
This position requires driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
Qualifications:
A B.A/B.S. in science, engineering, geology, or biology is preferred, but not required. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required in environmental sampling / consulting or related field.
- Multimedia sampling and field work experience preferred.
- Experience with remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, ecological restoration, water resources desirable.
- GIS data analysis and geostatistics, coding (VBA, Python, etc.), and data management skills a plus.
- Must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
- A 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
