Environmental Planner – Portland, OR

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree but preferably a graduate degree in environmental sciences, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, environmental studies, and/or related field

• Have a minimum of 4 years of experience with environmental assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting in the US.   

• Have an understanding of NEPA and state siting and permitting processes such as Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC), Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), and Hawaii Environmental Policy Act (HEPA)

• Have excellent research, analytical, writing, oral communication and organizational skills

• Have the ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and work closely with team members located across other offices  

• Have strong task management skills in successfully scoping and managing project teams and deliverables

• Preference for experience in preparing and processing various county, state (in the Pacific NW), and federal land use permits as well as preparation of documents to meet the requirements of EFSC
