Environmental Permitting Specialist (Mid-level) – Stuart, FL
Requirements:
- Must possess a BS Degree in Ecology, Biology.
- Environmental Studies or other related majors.
- The successful applicant will have at least 5 year of relevant experience performing wetland delineations, listed species permitting numerous types of projects through the SFWMD, FDEP or USACE.
- Must have at least one year of experience with regulatory and permitting programs for state, federal and local levels of government, in Florida including Sovereign Submerged Lands, Joint Coastal Permitting, Environmental Resource Program, Coastal Zone Management reviews or Section 404/401 permitting for large and small projects including linear pipelines, ports and offshore construction projects.
- Experience also in Section 106 Consultation helpful, wetland delineations, wetland mitigation, wetland restoration, environmental assessments, National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) Analysis, threatened and endangered species biological assessments.
- Knowledge of regulatory timeclocks, reviewing and preparing reports, agency submittals, and construction compliance.
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
