Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to assist in growing Tetra Tech’s Texas environmental business. Candidate must be highly motivated and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel as needed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office applications is a requirement.

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Geologist- to join our Austin, Texas team to provide support on various environmental projects throughout Texas. This position will support a variety of environmental contracts, including commercial and local government. Duties will include:
- Interact with commercial/industrial clients to identify needs, collect data, develop and process solutions for task completion.
- Prepare plans, APARs, RAPs and other TCEQ required remediation related documents.
- Assist Clients with waste management and associated reporting.
- Manage project tasks and financials and lead junior staff during projects.
- Prepare and submit remediation related permit applications.
- Engage in diverse client projects that may involve multi-media knowledge including Air, Water, Waste, Hazardous Material Management, or Emergency Response/Prevention.
- Develop proposals including scope of work and budgetary estimates.
- The position may require extensive outdoor work as well as extended overnight travel.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) or ability to obtain PE.
- 5-10 years of experience in the environmental industry or related environmental consulting experience.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel required.
- CAD/GIS experience is a plus.
- Applicant must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Applicant must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
- Candidate must be able and available to travel via land and/or air and possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.

When out of the office, the Applicant would be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Additional Information
- Employment Type: Full-Time.
- Work Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday through Friday; occasional extended hours or overtime may be required based on business needs.
- Work Location: This position is in the Austin Office. Potential for Hybrid 3 days a week work from home.
- Reporting: The position will report to the manager located in Austin TX.
- Travel Requirements: Travel is expected for this role to support projects as necessary.
