Engineer / Environmental Scientist -Helena, MT
Qualifications:
- B.S. Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field (M.S. Preferred).
- 1-3 years of environmental experience.
- Education and work experience should be related to one or more of the following areas of engineering or geology/environmental sciences, stream and floodplain restoration, hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental regulations, water quality, environmental sampling.
- Experience should include environmental sampling methods for surface water, groundwater, and/or soil.
- Experience with environmental and geotechnical drilling.
- An understanding of local, state, and federal programs, permits, and regulations related to solid waste, stormwater, hazardous waste releases, and environmental remediation.
- Ability to perform field data collection and construction oversight.
- Strong skills and proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft-based software, including MS Excel, for data analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to summarize scientific data in concise, readable language
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems preferred.
- MSHA and/or OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
Target salary range: 25.00/hour to 32.00/ hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
