Employee Relations Specialist
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in human resources or employee relations with at least 2 years of experience directly managing complex employee relations matters and investigations.
- Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
- Effective communication and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams
- Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply current federal, state, and local laws relating to employment matters, including regulations or guidance issued by the Department of Labor, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, or other similar agencies.
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to interface with multiple levels of operations personnel and administrative staff are required
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, highly organized, and motivated
- Must excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while maintaining focus and balancing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail is essential to this position
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to receive and execute instructions
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- Flexible and, able to immediately adapt to changing priorities
- Must be available as needed during disaster activations if required; must be available to work BOTH weekend days when project needs necessitate weekend work
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to organize files efficiently
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (email, word, excel, teams, etc)
- Abilities to use technology to communicate efficiently
- Work attentively with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (preferred)
