Emergency Management Planner - Mid Level
Must have a minimum 10 years experience in law enforcement with documented active threat credentials. Experience as an emergency management professional is also preferred. Must be highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment. Must be able to be a self-starter and solutions-orientated worker. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills are essential. Must have knowledge of national emergency management trends and program initiatives.
Travel, work in client offices, oral presentations, and written report preparation will be required. Candidate will manage project schedules and budgets, will interface directly with clients, and will also assist in marketing, proposal writing, and other business development activities.
BS/Masters degree in in Law Enforcement, Public Administration, Emergency Management, Communications, Political Science or related discipline is preferred. Certified Emergency Manager and/or Master Exercise Practitioner credentials are preferred. DHS Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) training is required.
50% of the work will be at an offsite location so the candidate must have the ability to work in an unsupervised environment. Must have the ability to drive a motor vehicle and pass a motor vehicle records check. Selected candidate may be subject to a background check based on client needs. Must be available for short-term travel.
