Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline; however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position’s duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.
  • 5 years relevant safety experience in the wind industry preferred but relevant construction experience also considered.
  • OSHA-500, 510 or CSP certifications recommended but not required.
  • The career level of the position will be determined by the years of relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; after a candidate, has been chosen.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated application of EHS good practices.
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, and implement site specific EHS programs, training, policy and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at the highest levels.
  • Ability to train and mentor more junior staff.
  • Experienced and skill to conduct research, investigate alternative solutions and recommend needed change.
  • Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented project environment.

 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • OSHA-510, Safety Management certificates, experience as a dedicated safety professional.
  • Case management is a primary role of the EHS Manager.
  • Managing safety programs.
  • Quarterly and Annual reporting on safety metrics, program implementation and employee engagement.
  • Compliance record keeping and program management.
  • Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation.

 

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $$110,000 yr.
