The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is seeking professional, motivated, and intelligent candidates to fill a Project Manager position to support Department of Defense infrastructure planning programs.  This is a seller-doer position that will require the successful candidate to support strategic planning, business development, capture, and project execution of contracts throughout the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The successful candidate will be responsible for:  
•    Develop new client accounts and work with existing Tetra Tech account managers and market sector leaders to expand the client base.
•    Prepare proposals, support projects, and perform technical work as necessary, balancing sales and utilization. 
•    Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base for a broad range of integrated services including environmental, climate change, resiliency, planning, engineering, munitions, geospatial, and construction management services.
•    Identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnerships with other businesses to support DoD programs in the region.
•    Provide local knowledge, leadership, and subject matter expertise in an area of focus to support projects and client needs.
•    Plan and develop deliverables in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and policies. 
•    Meet with key clients and potential clients to share Tetra Tech’s capabilities and foster stronger client relationships. Grow trust in the brand with key clients and potential clients. 
•    Work collaboratively with other experts in numerous locations across Tetra Tech's broad geography
•    Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
•    Additional duties as required.
 

 

 Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, planning, public policy, or related field.
•    Knowledge of the US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or other US Federal organizations is required.
•    Knowledge and experience working with governmental organizations and decision-makers is required. 
•    DOD Security Clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.
 

Background Check: This position requires a CAC card, CUI Enclave Access and/or a Security Clearance, a background check will be completed.

While primarily performed in an office environment, travel and on-site work might be required which could require lifting 50 pounds of documents or equipment, traversing uneven terrain during site visits, and standing long periods of time at public meetings.

This work is principally performed in an office environment; however, there are occasional requirements to visit client sites, which requires the ability to perform work in an office environment or outdoors while conducting data gathering site visits, participating in on-site meetings, and attending conferences or other training activities off-site.

Language & Communication Skills:  Must be fluent in the English and able to communicate effectively in speaking and writing.  Must be able to provide high-quality written products including reports and presentations for senior DoD and community officials. 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects
•    Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal, including technical writing/editing experience and a demonstrated ability to write, edit, and deliver planning content.

Other Skills: Instructions: Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
