Essential KSA’s required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably a master’s degree in engineering, business management or finance.
At least 15 years of professional experience working in an electric utility, transmission system operator, or utility engineering services company preferably with power system planning, corporate planning, and/or operation and high penetration of non-dispatchable renewables.
Represent utility before planning, investment, and rate regulatory proceedings.
Development and implementation of generation mix decarbonization programs.
Planning and management of high-voltage transmission lines and substations including. interconnections, protection settings, reliability analysis, and outage response.
Transmission and/or distribution system planning, operation and technical analyses
Grid integration study and/or system impact analysis of high penetration of variable renewable energy power plants

Valued but not required KSA’s:

Cost of electricity services and revenue requirement analysis, and tariff setting methodology
Definition and cost estimation of ancillary services
Familiarity with the implementation and application within the utility operations and business practices of software solutions for power system simulation, Energy Management System, and Distribution Management System.
