Director of Administration and Finance for USAID Mozambique Renda Verde Activity
Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Director of Administration and Finance position on a potential USAID-funded program in Mozambique. The Renda Verde Activity is anticipated to be a five-year program focused on boosting communities in leveraging the benefits of living in nature across key biodiversity conservation areas ‐ and benefit local people through sharing of nature‐based revenue.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Party, the Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) will oversee all aspects of Activity administration, including logistics, operations, finance, and human resources. The Director of Administration and Finance will play a key role in supporting compliant and efficient project delivery in accordance with USAID and Tetra Tech policies. This is anticipated to be a full-time position based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance of project operations with USAID, Government of Mozambique, and Tetra Tech Home Office administrative policies and guidelines.
* Oversee Activity administrative functions, including finance, logistics, human resources, registration, banking, procurement, information technology, and security.
* Oversee project financial management, including performing sound accounting and financial control, managing cash flow, tracking expenditures relevant to operating budget, and preparing and reconciling monthly financial reports.
* Coordinate with Chief of Party (COP), DCOP, and other senior management positions to support efficient operational planning to support technical implementation
* Oversee project procurement processes for goods and services, including drafting requests, analyzing proposals, drafting contracts, negotiating contracts and prices, reviewing contractual deliverables for quality, and preparing required documentation.
* Support other accounting, financial management and administrative tasks consistent with the overall scope of this position as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or other relevant field; Master’s degree, preferred.
* At least ten (10) years of experience providing operations and/or financial oversight to USAID-funded projects or other projects of similar size and complexity
* Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and support program implementation while ensuring adherence to required policies and protocols
* Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Fluency in Portuguese is required; professional fluency in English preferred.
