Digital Systems Internship (San Jose, CA)
Tetra Tech Digital Systems is seeking motivated students to support technology solutions for municipalities, utilities, and other critical infrastructure clients. Our team combines engineering, automation, cybersecurity, software development, data analytics, and digital transformation to improve operational performance and decision-making.
Depending on your interests and experience, you'll work alongside engineers, developers, cybersecurity specialists, and project managers to:
- Support automation, controls, SCADA, and industrial systems projects
- Assist with data analytics, dashboards, cloud solutions, and software development
- Research emerging technologies, cybersecurity practices, and AI applications
- Help develop, test, document, and improve technical solutions
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate across teams
Present findings and project contributions to stakeholders
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Interest or foundational knowledge in engineering, automation, software, data analytics, cybersecurity, or digital systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Python, SQL, or other programming languages
- Data visualization and analytics tools
- PLCs, SCADA systems, or industrial networks
- CAD/electrical design software
- Cybersecurity or cloud platforms
Previous professional experience is not required.
