The opportunity
- Full-time ongoing role based in Australia (in office, hybrid or remote)
- Shape and execute business development strategies.
- Foster key client and market engagement to secure lasting partnerships.
- Lead with purpose, mentoring teams to achieve excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and implement initiatives to align market opportunities with organisational goals.
- Business Development: Lead tender submissions, identify new opportunities, and create innovative solutions.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships, represent the organisation at events, and enhance visibility.
- Team Leadership: Mentor staff, foster an inclusive culture, and drive team performance.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee project delivery and improve processes for greater efficiency.
- Progress Monitoring: Evaluate and report on strategic initiatives to ensure alignment and success.
Selection criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, International Development, or a related field (Postgraduate qualifications preferred).
- Proven track record in business development, strategy execution, and managing tenders and client relationships in professional services or international development.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and driving organisational alignment.
- Strong strategic thinking, market analysis, and business development expertise.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and advanced project management skills.
- Results-driven, collaborative, and innovative leader.
- Adaptable, resilient, and committed to professionalism and organisational values.
