This position is for immediate mobilization and fixed term for the remainder of the project life through April 2021.
Essential KSA’s required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):
- 15+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- A Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- At least 10 years providing management and leadership on high profile USAID or other donor-funded projects, preferably in the energy sector
- Supervisory experience in the international development industry, specifically with long-term field staff and short-term U.S., third country, and local experts
- Ability to establish solid working relationships with high-level/senior national and local government officials, the private sector and civil society
- A proven record of excellent management, strong administrative and organizational skills, strategic thinking and decision-making, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, including being a strong writer and articulate speaker
- Language: Fluency in English is required with strong oral and written presentation skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Valued but not required KSA’s:
- Familiarity or experience in the energy sector
- Relevant professional experience supporting the implementation of donor-funded energy projects
- Previous field experience, DCOP or equivalent
- Management of complex programs
- Asia/Pakistan Experience
- Line management responsibility:
Supervise 6 staff and consultants in cross-cutting areas
