Data Analyst - Irvine, CA
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, engineering, geology, environmental science, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline
- 2+ years of data analytics experience, with a strong preference for experience in cloud analytics
- A strong quantitative, creative, and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams in an agile framework
- Strong analytical, data storytelling, and communication skills
- Experience with environmental data sets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, D3, AWS Quicksite or other visualization/ reporting tools
- Expertise with building queries in SQL, NoSQL, or Hadoop (with Pig or other tool)
- Experience in an Azure or AWS Data & Analytics services environment
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning Studio, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MATLAB, or other cloud machine learning packages
- Experience in a notebook environment, such as Jupyter
- Experience with Python or R data analysis packages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Experience with sensory or other IoT data
- Experience with ETL practices and technologies such as Power Query, AWS Data Pipeline and Amazon Elastic MapReduce
