PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, needs Safety Professionals for future US Embassy and Consulate construction projects all over the world with State Department Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). Requires a US Govt. Secret Security Clearance.
 

The Project

  • Projects Types include:
    • New US Embassy Compound (NEC)
    • New US Consulate Compound (NCC)
    • Compound Projects may include some of the following:
    • Office buildings
    • Marine Security Guard Residences (MSGR)
    • Chanceries
    • Support Annexes (SPX)
    • Shops and Vehicle Maintenance Bays
    • Compound Access Control Facilities (CAC)
    • Utility Buildings (UTL)
    • Parking Structures (PKG)
    • Warehouses
    • Security Upgrades - Physical Barriers, Emergency Sanctuaries, Technical Security Systems, Fire Protection Systems (alarms/sprinklers)
    • Site/Landscape Improvements
    • and more.
  • Project Duration typically ranges from 2-5 years (we always ask for a minimum commitment of 1 year)
  • Housing and transportation allowances are provided (unless there is a secure compound in a conflict zone).
  • Uplifts can range from 5% to 65% of base salary (depending on location, cost of living, and a variety of other factors)
  • Benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K, 30 days paid time off a year, paid round trip flights home periodically while on assignment)

Position Description

  • Serve as Construction Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) and provide DOS with professional expertise, advice, and guidance relating specifically to construction project site safety and health issues.
    • Includes all phases of building construction operations, such as site development, excavation, foundation, superstructure, exterior walls, mechanical systems, electrical, and interior finish work.
  • Ensure contractor and sub-contractor comply with DOS construction safety regulations and Brazil's construction safety and health rules/regulations.

Requirements

  • US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
  • Associates Degree or Higher
  • Either: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) OR CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
  • OSHA (30 OR 40 hour) construction safety certification
  • Knowledge of EM385-1-1 USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers') Safety and Health Requirements Manual 
  • 7 years construction experience
