Project Duration typically ranges from 2-5 years (we always ask for a minimum commitment of 1 year)

Housing and transportation allowances are provided (unless there is a secure compound in a conflict zone).

Uplifts can range from 5% to 65% of base salary (depending on location, cost of living, and a variety of other factors)

Position Description
- Serve as Construction Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) and provide DOS with professional expertise, advice, and guidance relating specifically to construction project site safety and health issues.
- Includes all phases of building construction operations, such as site development, excavation, foundation, superstructure, exterior walls, mechanical systems, electrical, and interior finish work.
- Ensure contractor and sub-contractor comply with DOS construction safety regulations and Brazil's construction safety and health rules/regulations.
Requirements
-
US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
- Associates Degree or Higher
- Either: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) OR CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
- OSHA (30 OR 40 hour) construction safety certification
- Knowledge of EM385-1-1 USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers') Safety and Health Requirements Manual
- 7 years construction experience
