Compressor Engineer (Gas Transmission Pipelines)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA, or eligible to be registered
- Experience working with clients such as TC Energy, FortisBC, Enbridge, or other major North American gas transmission companies is required. Special consideration will be given for TC Energy related experience
- In depth knowledge of API 617, API 618, pipeline compressors and related facilities including gas-turbine driven compressor systems
- Experience with preparation of compressor and driver, MRs, TBEs, and vendor DWG reviews
- Experience with shop inspection of compressor packages is an asset
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis of failed equipment is an asset
- Experience coaching and mentoring EITs.
- Experience in the practical aspects of equipment design, installation and start-up and troubleshooting
- Strong interpersonal skills for both client and internal team interfaces
- Excellent oral and written skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Travel within Western Canada periodically to client sites may be required (once travel restrictions are eased)
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screen
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
