Project Summary:
The Rapid Response Activity is an ongoing project that seeks to improve stability in conflict affected areas, particularly the northern West Bank. It aims to alleviate grievances, to strengthen communities’ abilities to withstand shocks and stressors, and to provide opportunities for youth impacted by violence and conflict. Managed under the GISR MENA mechanism, the activity operates to respond to immediate and emergent needs, to improve short-term stability in specific geographic areas that have recently emerged as flashpoints.

Position Summary:
The Communications and Outreach Consultant will work on supporting grantees and other partners communicate their successes and other messages to communities and helping to respond to Local Priorities communicate its achievements, successes, and analysis to USAID and other external audiences. The position will require creativity and the ability to design and implement communications material targeting both international and Palestinian audiences of different social, economic, age, gender, and geographic backgrounds. This position will report to the Chief of Party and will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with the rest of the team. The position can be at either the senior or mid-level depending on experience and need. This position is for three months with a 70-80% workload per week. The selected candidate can be based in Ramallah, Jenin, Tulkarem, or Nablus.
Responsibilities:
- Write success stories and communication material including designing and producing presentations, reports, info graphics, short videos and social media posts, and other products designed to effectively communicate project success and achievements tailored to various external audiences.
- Lead technical and other assistance to help project partners better communicate their successes with key target groups in their communities and nationally.
- Oversee design, identification, and implementation of subcontracts and other agreements with external firms and consultants to support partner and project communication efforts.
- Draft project reports as required, including weekly, quarterly, annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with the project’s branding and marking plan for the project and partners.
- Monitor media coverage of key events and developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR, eMarketing, multimedia, or any other related fields required.
- Minimum one year of experience required.
- Knowledge of different social media platforms required.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Fluency in English and Arabic required.
