Climate Resilient Humanitarian Action Advisor for Climate Adaptation Support Activity – US-based Remote
Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in international development, human rights or humanitarian studies, climate change, environmental studies, sociology, or similar field.
* At least 7 years’ experience working on international development programming or policy, including experience in topics related to humanitarian action, disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, environmental management.
* At least 3 years’ experience providing technical support to complex USAID-funded programs and familiarity with USAID policies.
* Experience leading remote teams and working in a client-facing context.
* Experience managing others.
* Experience working in cross-cultural and highly collaborative team environments.
* Professional proficiency in English is required.
* Ability to travel internationally.
* Current US work authorization is required at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience developing climate adaptation policy and programming in the context of international development.
* A history of collaboration and fostering inclusive, equitable, locally led climate change adaptation activities.
* Experience with international humanitarian and/or disaster management donors and agencies.
* Understanding of the intersection of climate adaptation, humanitarian action, and disaster risk management.
* Proficiency in Spanish or French.

Pay Transparency Statement:
We are committed to taking a thoughtful, compliant and equitable approach to employment compensation and rate setting. The anticipated pay range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000 annually.
